BRICCs-TX
Overview
The project titled BRICCs-TX: Building Research Innovations in Community Colleges in Texas focuses on preparing Texas community college students for careers in research and data analytics. The initiative promotes collaboration between community colleges and universities to enhance research opportunities and data-sharing capabilities. By working with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), BRICCs-TX provides an online platform for institutions across Texas to access shared resources, tools, and information, improving educational and research outcomes statewide.
Our Purpose
The purpose of BRICCs-TX is to strengthen research capacity and collaboration across Texas educational institutions, particularly community colleges. Its goals include fostering research at all academic levels, promoting partnerships between community colleges and universities, and facilitating access to cyberinfrastructure, including cloud computing and hardware resources. BRICCs-TX aims to provide workshops focused on research and technology, and to establish a central information hub on the THECB's OERTX website, which will serve as a repository for resources on research collaboration and cyberinfrastructure. Ultimately, the project seeks to empower diverse student populations to engage in advanced problem-solving using the latest technologies.
