NextSilicon

This “software-defined hardware platform” is a general purpose coprocessor designed to accelerating HPC workloads, and more. More information about NextSilicon can be found on their website.

Accessing NextSilicon nodes

Navigate to https://hprc.tamu.edu and complete the following steps:

Use the Portal drop-down menu and select "ACES Portal (ACCESS)".

 

Select an Identity Provider and click "Log On":

 

Input your ACCESS Username and Password:

 

Authenticate with Duo Push:

 

You should now have access to the ACES OOD Portal. In the "Interactive Apps" drop-down menu select "Nextsilicon VNC":

 

Change the parameters based on your computational needs for the session (e.g., number of hours, number of cores), and click "Launch":

 

Click the "Launch Nextsilicon VNC" button to start the session.
